(2,850 posts)It just came and we watched the two Beatles documentaries last night. "The Beatles, Unauthorized" and "Fun With The Fab Four" The first was newsreel stuff put together, the second may have been their own playing around.
(Have yet to watch the two Elvis pieces, "Rare Moments with the King" and Elvis-King of Entertainment"
I won an early album by calling a radio station, it was mostly covers. "My Baby has me locked up in Chains" is all I can think of now that was on it. I really didn't get into the Beatles until Sargent Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band came out. And when the white album came out the radio station I was listening to got a copy and played it begining to end. I stayed in a parking lot listening on my car radio to hear it all.

The Beatles show Let It Be to open in West End
Love Me Do was released in October 1962, reaching number 17 in the UK chart. It was a US number one in 1964.
Let It Be will open for a limited period from September at London's Prince of Wales Theatre.
It is the first time the theatrical rights to The Beatles' back catalogue have been granted for a West End show.
Video footage will be used to to tell the story of the band's rise to fame, alongside performances of some of their most well known hits, such as Yesterday, Come Together and Hey Jude.A West End show, featuring several of The Beatles' hits, is to be staged to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the band's first single.
