"Obamacare" Saves Fox Viewer's Life

http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/erik-wemple/wp/2014/04/29/obamacare-beneficiary-you-wouldnt-have-caught-me-dead-watching-msnbc/?tid=sm_fb

The story of Dean Angstadt’s sudden embrace of Obamacare made MSNBC last night. Host Chris Hayes picked up on a heartwarming story in the Philadelphia Inquirer about a 57-year-old logger of Boyertown, Pa., who’d resisted signing up for Obamacare coverage but finally relented under the urging of a friend.

Noted Hayes of Angstadt, “He was so resistant to the thought of submitting to the tyrannical Obamacare pushed by a party he despises that he refused to sign up, even though he needed to have a heart valve replaced. Finally, his friend basically staged an intervention, helping him apply and choose a plan, which then enabled him to have life-saving surgery. And without that, Angstadt says — quote — ‘I probably would have ended up falling over dead.’”

I'm curious to see how this sort of stuff will play out in the next few elections. Since liberals are morel likely to sign up and conservatives are more likely avoid it out of spite.

...rather than Tea Party even after this experience? I'm not sure if I ought to be hoping this happens to more Fox-bots or hoping that the really entrenched don't get Obamacare, die because of it, and leave the GOP with even less voters and Fox with no viewers

That friend help saved his life along with the much needed healthcare coverage he needed without going into debt, ahem Obamacare.

Talk about "Death Panels", I knew back in 2009-2010 that it meant it was in reality the GOP but they were so convincing to the weak minded and obviously this guy was one of them.

I can't imagine the scenarios these people must have running through their heads. They have zero common sense.

ACA saves lives! Fuck it if we can't get Single Payer now. Aren't lives worth saving? Aren't peoples well being worth saving?

They most certainly are. And anti-ACA people are quite literally promoting murder to those whose lives who have and will continue to be saved by it!

A lot of Republicans support SS, Medicare and Medicaid, SNAP Benefits. However, often they continue to vote for the candidates who will gut each of those programs...
