Yes, it was raining, so the jacket is wet. That is consistent.
Oh and yes, police processing is always that business like, so that did not raise any alarms.
Now to the list of what does not fit
1- Noses and heads bleed like pigs...yes, yes they do...not one stain, unless it was a downpour of biblical proportions. Oh wait, it was raining, but nothing close to a biblical downpour. The rain shoud have made the blod stains larger. Blood does bleed, no pun.
2- Speaking of rain, if I were involved in a scuffle...can you say mud?
3- Zimmerman's shirt is tucked in. I don't know how many of you have seen people after a fight, but tucked in is not exactly what comes to mind. And that is the big inconsistency. Of course he could be dapper and tucked his shirt in after he shot Trayvon, before the cops showed up...that raises other questions.
4- Where there is blood, there are funny blue medical gloves. Something 'bout AIDS and Hepatitis, or did we go back to the Pre 1985 days? Notice non of the officers are wearing any of those. There is evidence contamination at play as well, but blood, where are them Gloves?

(9,074 posts)"police processing is always that business like" if there isn't blood (hence no gloves to protect them from blood).
on edit: This was part of the police processing so I think it belongs there at the top and should raise alarms.

(12,359 posts)It's helpful when trying to reduce the stigma and discrimination surrounding HIV to not refer to the virus as AIDS, since you cannot get AIDS from someone. Given how far we have come since 1985, AIDS isn't defined the same way as it was before we discovered HIV, but the fear and stigma still remain regardless of medical advances.
Also, many things cause Hepatitis, which is an umbrella term meaning 'inflammation of the liver.' I'm assuming you mean Hepatitis B & C, since you cannot get Hepatitis A from contact with blood.

(154,021 posts)For blood borne pathogens.
I was a medic when AIDS just started and gloves were not standard or required. I was one of the hard noses that forced a whole EMS service to adopt gloves for all contacts. PD uses them for bloody encounters.
It's not just AIDS or hepatitis. But indeed the border year for standard use of those is 1985' and that was the driver.
I used to make the point that there were other pathogens at play, but it was AIDS which changed that culture.
Sorry for the history class. I also worked with an EMS service that was very involved in public health...which meant talks at HS, not in the US, about condoms. Now those were interesting talks, as well as the ones with the LGBT community.
Breaking the ice on those was always...interesting.

(12,359 posts)But you are being careless with your language with HIV and Hepatitis, and continue to do so in your response to me.
But thank you for continuing to keep me employed as a Health Literacy Treatment Educator. No need for a history class from you. I'm sure I've got a lot more knowledge than you on these issues.
Sometimes it's better to stop acting like the expert and realize you can learn from others.

What's your expertise on treatment?

(8,582 posts)An older cop comes walking over. Seems Zimmerman wants nothing to do with this cop. He backs away and rest against the wall. Is he not one of his buddies? The two other cops looked buddy buddy with this killer.
Or he just wanted to lean against the wall. You know, it's been a long day for the wanna be mall cop.

(45,274 posts)Somehow, #4 hit me the hardest, but all strong points. PLEASE do an OP on this & get it into the blogosphere. Clue people in on what to watch for as this vid starts getting shown everywhere. People primed by your questions will tend to look for certain things that they would never otherwise notice or think about.
