The vast, vast majority of politicians are little more than conduits for delivering influence. So the fact that Hillary has a database to do that job more effectively isn't the worst indictment ever. The fundamental problem is that we have no democracy. It isn't Hillary's fault, but anybody who thinks she will be a force for a return to democracy is nuts.

If you think the BOG people are bad, just wait until the Clintons unleash all their acolytes. I'm really not looking forward to a repetition of the last 8 years, or maybe even something worse. Hillary Clinton isn't the candidate for me; I'll never support her. I'm not going to believe her when she plays footsie with progressives during her campaign. She's a corporacrat. Always has been and always will be.

I am not looking forward to 2016, seeing as how some people will look to sew it up well before 2014 is over. About the only thing I will "look forward" to is seeing her acolytes put a spin on A) Her getting us into that war with Iran many of her campaign donors have been wanting and or B) hearing them hum and smile when she cuts benefits in a way that would have made many people shrink if either BOG or a GOP even whispered the thought of a shadow of it.

That being said, I cannot, will not vote for a GOP, and let no Naderite be fooled, if you do not vote democratic in 2016, that is EXACTLY what you are doing. I do not care if the Democrats nominate a dead cat, I trust that dead cat more than even the kindest, gentlest GOP. 2000 shoukd have taught this lesson.

Thinking about the Presidential race gives me a headache right now. More than likely, it will suck. I'll do everything I can to get my teabagger Congressman out of office. The Democrats can't count on my vote anymore in Presidential elections. That's just the way it is. If we elect enough good people to Congress, we can override the President anyway. Congress is where it's at. The Republicans have taught us that much.

Seriously, why else do you think a bunch of reporters are too scared to ask harder questions?
