My official announcement: I am boycotting Huffington Post, for good. (Updated)

For these reasons, I no longer will EVER go to a Huffer Post link, anymore.

1. Huffington Post brass screw their writers.

2. The page takes too long to load, when it actually DOES load.
I just tried reading an article there, and my anti-virus blocked THREE attempts at shoving malware/adware/viruses into my computer.
After the page stopped dead the third time, I gave up.

3. Huffington Post is a unabashed advocate for the worst quacks.
Anti-vaxxers, dubious (at best) "treatments," if a quack advocates it, Huffington Post will run it.
And not be critical of it either.

Update: Adding an article from the "Encyclopedia of Americans Loons."

For AP news articles, don't go there but rather:

http://bigstory.ap.org/

Good thing though is that Mike Malloy often provides an "audiobook" version of Huffpo on his show, so I think I gotta upload audio clips of those when he reads & comments on Huffpo articles.

I have been looking for an alternative to HP - which is also getting more trashy everyday.

I also like: http://www.theepochtimes.com/ for a different perspective.

The only stories worth a damn on those sites are when they're directly quoting from a reputable mainstream source.

Do I go there on a regular basis? No, but I have seen good stories linked to them before, and I will read them then.

...and have been surviving just fine.

Left it behind for all of your reasons and Arianna Huffington, who is just too annoying to support in any manner.

Their pages stall.

I guess it's because I like my privacy and don't accept cookies from strangers.

It was easier just to block them then to accidentally click on a page that went dead.
