Police: Lindon police officer responsible for Spanish Fork murder-suicide (killed wife, 2 kids, MIL)
Lindon Police on Friday were investigating a quadruple murder-suicide overnight in Spanish Fork in which it appears a Lindon police officer shot his wife, their two children, his mother-in-law and then himself.
Spanish Fork Police Chief Steve Adams said the man believed to have done the shooting, 34-year-old Joshua Boren, had not shown up for work on Thursday night, prompting his worried commander to call SFPD to go to his home.
The commander had not been able to reach Boren, who became an officer in Lindon last October after serving as a corrections officer with the Utah County Sheriffs Office, by telephone and became alarmed.
Officers arrived at the home, located at 37 N. 630 West, at 11 p.m. They found the familys vehicles parked at the residence and lights were burning inside, but no one would answer the door, which was unlocked.

Wow, isn't he supposed to be a law-abiding gun owner?
And it's been a bad week for cops and murder. First the cops who killed Kelly Thomas were acquitted, then the retired officer in Tampa shot a guy in a movie theater for texting, now this. Typical gun culture in the USA.
