Campbell Brown launches another anti-union attack (out right lie on teachers & sex predators!)

We were so successful in pushing back against Michelle Rhee, so let's see if we can do the same to Campbell Brown. IF you don't know, she's pushing anti-union stuff in NY these days and every 2 or 3 months publishes a WSJ piece about how bad teachers unions are. Her husband is on the board of StudentsFirstNY and they work closely together on this.

She published a piece in the Wall Street Journal today about how unions want to weaken the House bill to crack down on sexual predators. On Twitter she has asked why we won't support it.

I want to be clear, it's an outright lie that we are trying to weaken the bill. This is a serious issue and she shouldn't be using it to mask her union busting agenda. In Randi's letter she clearly said she supports the spirit of the bill and her suggestions were given to strengthen it. Randi has been very clear about that from the beginning. Even National Alliance for Public Charter Schools shared our concerns in a US News op ed, but Brown makes no mention of that in her attack.

This isn't the first time Brown has gone after Randi. Because of her outrageous attacks, Mother Jones published this piece a few months back exposing who is really behind her organization.

We can't let her get away with this. It's outrageous. She's a liar and is manipulating this serious issue to push her right-wing agenda.
