I feel like I should be worried. I signed up for a specific plan over the phone.
This plan to be exact:
Which has this plan summary on the exchange website:
And after I opened the Blue Cross/Blue Shield pdf summary for the plan, I realized that none of the figures stated on the exchange website match. The name of the plan matches but nothing else.
https://www.azblue.com/~/media/AZBlue/Files/SBCs/IU65/EverydayHealthSelect4000.pdf
Maximum out-of-pocket: $6350
Copays-
Primary care - $30
Specialist - $60
Prescription tiers -
1: $15
2: $50
3: $100
It's important to note that NONE of the information provided in the BC/BS brochure matches the information on the exchange website. None of it. The plan I was shown on the website and sold on the phone has essentially nothing to do with the BC/BS plan in the pdf.
Has anyone else run into this?

I'm currently searching for the paperwork on the BC/BS website.

(8,155 posts)I'm going to be so angry if my suspicion is correct. I've been trying to get health insurance for so goddamn long and I finally breathed a sigh of relief this afternoon thinking my journey was complete.

(9,145 posts)Mixed up paper work I'd bet --- deep breath, walk it off, try to relax... wait till you find out before you get your freak out on and be nice on the phone. Don't kill the messenger they are on your side, and should be able to make things right for you some how. If you treat them badly they may not go out of their way for you.

(8,155 posts)Because anything stated on the health care exchange is technically a summary and thus not anything that could be considered legally binding.

You need to see the actual policy
To me that should not be allowed, but it is

(15,684 posts)or a family plan? You may be looking at the family vs individual. The summary I was given was for individual instead of family and was way off because if it. I panicked until my insurance agent set me straight.

Live and Learn
(12,769 posts)as far as I can see. It looks like the insurance company thinks you signed up for more than 1 person. Have you called to ask?
Gravitycollapse
(8,155 posts)I'll have to call in the morning.

Give that a shot.
The numbers for an individual look about the same to me.

(54,770 posts)The plan name indicates it had a $4000 deductible.
If I had seen that Exchange summary, I would have jumped on it too and told everyone I know they should get it. That's a shame.
Will be interested in BCBS's response. I still think the actual plan is pretty good if the premium is accurate.
