(42,766 posts)JC was a better President than that B grade actor ever thought of being
and he never had to pull any dirty tricks to bullshit the voters into thinking
he could handle the job like that phony did either.

(33,612 posts)still don't understand how bad their choice of Reagan was for this country. There is a very long list of things that disastrous would not have happened if Carter had remained in office. And another list of good things that would have.

(11,521 posts)And President Carter has certainly accomplished a lot as an ex president. He's done more good for the world as an ex president than either RayGuns or * can even dream of.

(3,538 posts)....prob different ad shows up every time you load the page. Have you seen it? "Vote now; is Obama the worst president in history"??? It links to some conservative web site. How did this get on DU? The poll question is hilarious; 4 choices, 3 of which are "Yes he's the worst ever because of...." and the 4th is "No, he's not as bad as Jimmy Carter".
ROTFLMAO
What alternate universe to these fucktards live in where GW is even worthy to lick the boots of either of those men?
Idiots.
<on edit> Yes, of course a different random ad appears each time you load the page. Keep an eye out for it, though, it is bizarre and hilarious AND sad, and it was a real funny coincident it popped up on a thread about Jimmy Carter.

To this day I think he was one of our best presidents ever. Way ahead of his time.

(20,450 posts)If I had a dime for every time I heard a Democrat diss Jimmy Carter--even a reasoned, progressive Democrat, I'd be a wealthy woman. Yes, I understand that during his presidency, Carter was no progressive. He was very conservative--a Blue Dog social, Southern Democrat. And back then before he became president, he was my governor. (I'm originally from Georgia.) And I'm very proud of Jimmy. He has evolved from his conservatism and is now more liberal, more progressive than Bill Clinton and Barack Obama put together, which ain't sayin' much, but you catch my drift. The point is that even to this day--even after Carter's transformation into a better man, and a progressive, I hear Democrats dissing him, calling him weak--given into the Right Wing/Corporate Media narrative. Note to Democrats: It was Jimmy Carter who saved those hostages, not Saint Raygun! Carter is more of a man than Raygun, Bush I or II will ever be!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Mr. President!

(23,763 posts)I have always felt that he was under appreciated and didn't get credit for what he did. He certainly has been one of the best former president's we've ever had. He was the first one I was able to vote for in 1980 but he lost. It wasn't til 1992 that I voted for a presidential candidate that won.

(5,275 posts)There would have been no washed up B actor in the WH chopping that top rate in about half minus the despicable "October Surprise".
The truth is so many republicans think the ends justify the means. That's your moral majority. Wise up middle class America.
