Police say Indian gang raped twice in hours
The incident comes only days after the anniversary of the fatal gang rape of a woman on a bus in Delhi [Reuters]
Ten people in India have been arrested after a 21-year-old woman was gang-raped twice in one night by two apparently unrelated groups of men, according to police officials.
Six of them have been charged with gang-raping the woman on the evening of December 24, a police officer told Associated Press news agency on Friday, adding that a juvenile male was additionally detained for not informing the police about the crime.
Officer Monika Bharadwaj said the arrests were made on Thursday after the woman complained that she was abducted and raped while visiting a friend in Karaikal, a port city in Pondicherry state.
After nearly three hours of captivity in the first case, she was released and called for help only to be gang-raped by an apparently separate group of seven men, the official said.
Police have been questioning the accused to find out whether they knew each other or belonged to two separate groups, Bhardwaj said.

(40,656 posts)treats them like shit. Blaming this on a vacuum of god's love and protection means that the sick fucks who did this are less culpable. I know you don't feel that way but it always seems to me that if God is supposed to influence and keep us on the right track, people can do what they want without conscience.
I find stuff like this incomprehensible and truly within the domain of people. God wasn't there. They were. They bear complete responsibility, the fuckers.

(53,661 posts)She was kidnapped and gang raped then as they left her.
She went to the nearest house for help as it was in a rural area and was gang raped by the men there.
Finally when she got out, it was still night and she went to the next house who called the police.
An old English poem, about how a young gentleman riding by a field and seeing a milk maid with the cows, encouraged young men to seize the opportunity.
I'll never forget the line, 'If you will not when you may, you shall not when you will.'
Very nicely worded, just disregard the choice of the female. Nice thing to do with one's free will, huh?

Do they mean that they created a special provision that provides additional punishment gender motivated acid attacks? I have a hard time believing that it was ever legal to throw acid at people.
