"That time Republicans destroyed the Dixie Chicks over the group’s opinion"

http://freakoutnation.com/2013/12/22/ducked-up-that-time-republicans-destroyed-the-dixie-chicks-over-the-groups-opinion/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=ducked-up-that-time-republicans-destroyed-the-dixie-chicks-over-the-groups-opinion

"The Dixie Chicks’s singer said on stage in London ten years ago, “Just so you know, we’re on the good side with y’all. We do not want this war, this violence, and we’re ashamed that the president of the United States is from Texas.”

That statement caused quite a bit of outrage because they had the audacity to have a different viewpoint than President W. Bush’s.

The media pounced and politicians added to the hysteria. Much like ones, that do not take issue over Ted Nugent’s acidic remarks, and even threats directed toward President Obama, to end his life. Much like the ones that call President Obama a “usurper” from Kenya, a radical, with calls for his impeachment, yet they took issue with the Dixie Chicks.

They were called the Dixie Sluts, among other things."

President", and then to hear vile comments about Clinton and Obama. Republicans have to come with hate in their hearts in order to reduce or remove safety net programs. They think freedom of speech starts and ends with whether you are Republican. Now we can look to the Dixie Chicks and see how right they were.

From owning the channel, to owning the cable company. The reason America is in such decline in some ways, is the constant War against the Poor (working class) their paymasters demand. That and lots of FUD all day long.

It is important to keep a large portion of the populace ignorant and in the dark to news that leans to the Left, so that there will be some Republicans when it comes time to vote.

IOW, if the M$M actually reported the news unbiased and without cherry picking stories...the GOP would completely dry up as a political organization. Until the 1% is forced to come out directly and take control over their various groups that like to practice social engineering on the RWing masses. These groups are all in decline, despite billions of Koch dollars being thrown at the GOP.

People want to hear the truth, but they don't own the airwaves. The 1% owns the airwaves. One reason they hate blogger and the Internet so much imo.

Okay, here’s the deal. A&E hires some religious right gun totin’ self-professed rednecks from the back bayous of Louisiana and then acts shocked, shocked I tell you, when they say something religious right gun totin’ self-professed redneck.

Have you ever seen a person of color on that show? No, you have not. And how do women have a say in family matters? By hoochy only. And why does that one brother never appear on the show? Uh, maybe he’s in the closet?

While the Dixie Chicks are not entitled to the First Amendment, rednecks are. You gotta keep the rules right.

This is not a first amendment matter. This is a free enterprise matter.
