Santorum: Endangered Species Act puts ‘critters above people’

http://www.rawstory.com/rs/2012/03/12/santorum-endangered-species-act-puts-critters-above-people/

Republican presidential candidate Rick Santorum says the federal government has gone too far in trying to protect endangered species by putting “critters above people.”

At the Gulf Coast Energy Summit in Biloxi, Mississippi on Monday, the candidate was asked how he would balance the need for environmental protection with the desire for less regulation.

Those with authoritarian bent are ALWAYS bedazzeled by the notion that GOD(!!!) has given them dominion over something.

Having addressed and vanquished (in his mind) the threat of unmarried fecund uteri, Santorum is moving on to imperial War with Nature!

As long as he keeps his pious hands off the purple bacteria, we have a chance to keep breathing! I don't really expect that he knows the purple bacteria or our dependence upon them and I don't want to call them to his attention, lest he figure out a way to franchise their work to the Koch bros.
