Voter ID - Getting Ahead Of Demographics

The voter ID craze is about getting ahead of demographics for the next couple of generations. The GOP believes that only white males should vote. Better yet they believe that only upper income people should vote or property owners. They want to go back to the beginning of the country when only rich white men or property owners shaped government policy.

They are open about the fact that poor people should not vote and workers should not vote because they would vote for higher wages and thus higher taxes. We have heard this meme a lot lately from the RW. It is surprising that there is not an open call to repeal suffrage for women. Yet they are doing things which in effect disenfranchises women.

And by excluding minorities from voting the GOP can guarantee that they run everything with the help of an unchallenged big business. They are proposing a new kind of apartheid that we have seen in South Africa.

If we do not smash them in November and they get power back we will have lost democracy for the majority of Americans.

I see it the same way . . . going back to the 'Founding Fathers' America' is not something that appeals to me.

The Gop is pretty much SOL as far as having enough base of americans supporting them. Their policies make all but the most inbread southerners recoil in horror.
