was a progressive elected in 2008? I must have missed that. The progressive part, I mean. Never, ever did Obama present himself as a progressive. At least, I never encountered it. At least what I would consider a progressive.

Just not always in major speeches.

I don't understand why smart people like Krugman (and half of DU) only hear things if they're packaged in a televised political speech.

at all and lays out a cogent argument against it. I've been reading Krugman since 2004 and I honestly can't recall any time when he has been wrong. I think Obama tried to reason with RW a'holes and now realizes how futile it is. He will do well just to stick to his guns and his progressive leanings and not care what the RW does...they're gonna do it no matter what...
