One of the most interesting of the phenomena surrounding the GOP

is the utter silence of George W. Bush. Even his name goes unmentioned by the various characters who are the GOP pretenders to the Presidency. I find this to be fascinating, somehow.

In fact, if you search Google News for President Bush, what you get is stories about the death of Steve Bridges, a comedian who impersonated Bush on many occasions.

They must remember Bush, though. How about Bush? What do they think of the last Republican 2-term President, I wonder? We should ask them to think about it in our campaigns for Democrats, I think.

unmentioned in GOP campaigns less than four years from that Presidency, a guy has to wonder a little. Maybe the press needs to start poking at this more. It would be fun to see the current candidates squirm as they try to avoid the questions.

They shunned him like the black death at the last GOP convention.
