Six More Advertisers Ditch Rush
By Josh Israel on Mar 6, 2012 at 12:03 pm
The number of advertisers fleeing Rush Limbaugh continues to climb.
In an email release today, GEICO said, “In 2004 when Rush Limbaugh’s program also carried remarks that were inappropriate, we ceased all advertising on his show. We don’t advertise there to this day. On occasion, a local station may mistakenly run a GEICO ad in the wrong time slot. We are directing our ad buyers to make sure that doesn’t happen.”
On Facebook, the St. Vincent’s Medical Center in Connecticut said it “has directed WABC to withdraw our advertisements from the Rush Limbaugh show,” adding “We agreee that Mr. Limbaugh’s recent derogatory comments regarding an individual testifying before Congress are not acceptable.”
According to Bloomberg, Stamps.com has also suspended advertising and tractor maker Deere & Co. will take steps to make sure it doesn’t advertise on the program.

In my book, whenever a one-liner could never possibly be duplicated again in real life,
karma is knocking on the door.

Farms are run by families, and as the saying goes, when Mama ain't happy, ain't nobody happy.

And frankly, Mama is PISSED.

And "Mama" runs the tractors, combine, etc. It isn't just a "Poppa or the boys" thing, as you say, it is a family thing.

One of our tractors is an ancient John Deere, which only dh can run because I have a bum left hand now (it is a g'normous tractor). The small guy is a 1940s Massey, and some day soon, I will need a new small tractor to replace the poor old thing.

JD won't be in the running if they in any way ever run a damned ad on Rush's women hating, repub show. He has pissed off people even in farming/ranching land with this, as they aren't all repubs out here. Not that some of the repubs are all that happy - when momma who take b.c. is called a slut because she uses it, nobody in the family sees it as anything but an insult.

And as far as I know, Rush has no children, but has been married 4 times. Did he get a vasectomy, or were all his wives on birth control? Thus, nothing more than sluts and prostitutes who were having SEX with him and all comers, despite being married to Rush?

If he doesn't use birth control, why has he no children? It isn't really about the money to pay for it with him; it is about the need for birth control = slut behavior.

he has tons of businesses to take their place but it seems to me he is poison and the business would be hurting themselves by advertising with him now.

Wishful thinking??
