Chris Wallace takes apart Santorum on Fox News Sunday

Damn,

Chris Wallace played actual journalist today, hitting Santorum hard on the subjects of contraception and his (relatively) low levels of charitable contributions. But he delivered a knockout on Ricky's "snob" remark about education. (Video at link)

http://www.mediaite.com/tv/chris-wallace-grills-rick-santorum-over-birth-control-opposition-charity-education-remarks/

Wallace brought up the candidate’s comments that Obama is a “snob” for wanting to send everyone to college. Wallace played a clip of what Obama actually said, and then highlighted a selection from his website when he was running for reelection to the Senate in 2006. Wallace pointed out that what Santorum has been saying on education is not that different from what Obama’s been saying. Santorum justified the discrepancy thusly:

“Maybe I was reading some things that… I’ve read some columns where, at least it was characterized that the president said we should go to four-year colleges. If I was in error on that, I certainly… if you say you haven’t found that, I’ve certainly read that. If it was in error, then I agree with the president.”

Even the freepers are conceding Santorum took a beating:

* Yeah, I just saw Chris Wallace take Santorum apart big time. He also defended Obama. This election is over for me. Good luck with a 2nd Obama term Fox.

* .... Time to stick a fork in it Rick!!

* I saw the interview, and boy, that was a disaster for Santorum. It was as if he was continually receiving jabs to the nose and falling back further with each. Wallace even brought up Santorum’s last several years of tax returns and pointed out that he gave only 1 to 2% to charity.

* If Rick cannot handle Chris Wallace than he is toast. The media will crucify him.

...to take Santorum out of the game.

There's a guy who owes his success to pure luck. And Obama would be lucky to get him as an opponent.

Friday I retraced the steps I took on November 22, 1963. The asphalt playground of St Finbar school.

I took it with my friend Sister Regina. We had a similar experience that day.

We found out he was shot.
We found out he was dead.
We did something else.

Then our memories stop.

I don't remember the reaction of my parents ... I don't remember anything past the entrance of the new community center at ST Finbar.

HOW DARE SANTORUM INSULT MY childhood hero.

I will never forget that day although some memories are forever wiped from my brain.

There are policy issues with the Kennedy administration ....that is arguable. You insult my first President, who I voted for in kindergarten..I remember that, DON'T BE IN THE SAME ROOM WITH ME!! Yeah and that is a threat..really.

Ricky had his chance and blew it. Lord Faux has decided to put an end to his improbable mission.
