(20,899 posts)constitutional form of government. What higher crime will these insurrectionists commit, what higher crime do they have up their sleeves? May our President give no quarter and take no prisoners.

(32,723 posts)Yup.
And Republicans take great pride in the fact that they have stopped Obama's "Liberal Agenda".
Oh wait,....gays can now serve openly in the military....
And the "takers" are signing up for "Obamacare",...in the middle of a "Shutdown" that only seems to have shut parks.

(5,275 posts)A Government shutdown is something to cheer about with these true believers and the misguided voters who elected them.
I'd love to see these type of people try to live with total freedom and no government. The rub is that that would mean no roads, bridges, sewers, water system, police, fireman, food inspectors, etcetera. But hey, that's what they think they want - those thinking impaired people we would see with these "Keep Your Government Hands off My Medicare" signs.
A mind is a terrible thing to waste.

(5,610 posts)many of us made the conscious decision not to vote in 2012. Remember all of the "concessions" made to health care reform?
Rahm telling us to fuck ourselves and our ponies?
Obama keeping all of the bush idiots and allowing them to continually rape us with constant war, continually transferring the wealth upward, breaking many of his major campaign promises.....
We were marginalized when we had three branches of govt. Hell, after all of the shit we ate during the H.C. negotiations, the repugs still shut down the govt. to prevent ACA?
IDK what the answer is as long as we are forced to perform in the present form of political kabuki theater.
Many of us did not vote that year. It was our attempt to "send Obama a message." It didn't work.
Hell we were not getting much undiluted legislation passed before the "lesson teaching." And now pinky and the brain are threatening to blow the world up unless they get their way.
Until we get a fair shake economically and our voices listened to by "our" government, we are damned if we do and damned if we don't.
That is only going to happen when money is removed from the political equation.

(22,684 posts)they can do it. It's a self-fulfilling prophecy. They can prove, in their minds, that government doesn't work, because they prevented it from working.
