(135,425 posts)Taken to UCLA Med Center, where he died just after midnight. That was reported in Forbes.
It's starting to sound like a massive heart attack.

(21,786 posts)my great-uncle died at 39 of a heart attack; my uncle at 48. It's not common, and perhaps less common now than formerly, but even so dying at that age is definitely not unheard of or unnatural.

(135,425 posts)I mean, come on--the guy was vile. He thrived on being cruel and vicious. He delighted in intolerance. He loved to goad, bait, twist, snark and malign--for pure and brutal sport. Prevarication came to him as naturally as breathing does to the rest of us.
It's rather like mourning the "loss" of the skunk that has vexed your pets in the back yard for years. One can try to muster up a sanctity of life argument, certainly, but the bitter and unfortunate (and caused by Mr. Breitbart, himself) fact is that I don't think there will be a great deal of mourning for a man who had no scruples, no kindness in his heart, a willingness to say or do anything to aggrandize himself and his agenda, and a complete lack of decency or integrity.
What can anyone say? If you say you're "glad" he's gone, you're stooping to his level. I suppose the kindest thing one could say is that his absence will only be noted in that there is now one less shitflinger in the melee.

Thats horrible. So young and such a courageous person for standing up for/against something that many do not have the guts to do.
He will be missed.

Breitbart was a piece of vile scum - and he deserves to be denigrated even in his death - he abused Ted Kennedy after his death.

He said that the UCLA medical center reported his death just after midnight. He would not provide any more information." http://mediadecoder.blogs.nytimes.com/2012/03/01/editor-of-breitbart-com-says-andrew-breitbart-has-died/
