I was really encouraged to see this Public Service Announcement about Racial Discrimination:

On this 50th Anniversary of MLK's March on DC.

I found it while reading a disturbing story about how 25 black patrons were not seated at a NC Wild Wings Cafe due to the protestation of a single seated patron...

The arc does exist, but it is long. We may not see the end result, but we have to continue to work for it, keep the vision of it clear in our minds. There is no alternative.

We will win because there is no alternative to that either. Justice, truth, decency always win eventually. Always. History bears it out. But its that long arc that can make us lose heart; don't let it.

That's what gives me hope that we can one day take back some of what the 1% have taken from us. The sad side to that coin is of course even if we do take back what has been stolen from us, one day it will happen all over again.
