This Will Truly Be Barack Obama Underground.Ya know... ya might just need more than a few of those folks under that bus in 2014 & 2016.
Just sayin.

(2,770 posts)I, for one, never form a political opinion without checking-in with Matt Damon first, just to ensure I am in line with his thinking.
Doesn't everybody?

(34,111 posts)under that bus may be the beginning of taking back the party from those who stole it and twisted it into the Third Way, conservative party it has become. Progressive minds are all now collecting and making the undercarriage of the bus the place to be.
And they thought we could not make the under side of the bus nice. HA!

(43,049 posts)some speechifying and otherwise running his mouth?
Does he have a salad dressing? Another genuine good guy had one without running his mouth off while sending his kids to private school.
And that salad dressing is still around funding good works. Can Damon point to anything good that will outlive him?
FWIW, being President with a hostile Congress, inheriting two wars, and having your own people demanding the impossible isn't nearly as easy as running your mouth off in Hollywood.
So, who's shoving who under the bus?

(4,876 posts)he voted for him. Gee I guess 10 grand doesn't buy you any complaints. Damon also donated another $90,000 to other Democrats.
Damon is the founder of H20 Africa. In 09' H2O Africa merged with WaterPartners to form Water.Org an organization trying to bring clean water to people who need it. The concert tour I am currently working on is collecting donations for Water.Org.
Damon is also one of the founders along with Clooney, Pitt and Don Cheadle, of Not On Our Watch, an organization dedicated to exposing and stopping atrocities around the world.
He also works with the One Campaign to stop the spread of Aids around the globe.
Yeah. What a fucking useless loser prick that Matt Damon is. He should just go away.
on edit: I apologize for not listing ALL the charities Damon is involved in. If you'd like I certainly can list some more for you.

(9,688 posts)It's ironic, in a strange sense, as well, since "total info awareness" will give the .1% the perfect tool for digging up crap for political control through character assassination. There will be their people, tweedledum and tweedledee representing the democratic (small 'd') choice, and there will be targets.
I'd think DUers of all people would know this instinctively.
.... just shows how far down the rabbit hole we've gone.

(26,449 posts)It's funny this is the release weekend of Elysium, a movie which I hear has the RW somewhat in a tizzy.
It sure seems to have some message about the haves and the have nots.
Oh, and IMHO it's a great action flick. I saw it this afternoon on an IMAX screen.

(15,689 posts)or Al Gore, or Daniel Ellsberg in their peevish, McCarthyite campaign against Ed Snowden.
They are only fooling themselves.
They have evidently requisitioned a couple of new personas to pal around with but I don't see them making converts among actual DUers, despite the frenetic pace of their McCarthyite smear campaign. I doubt many are fooled by the sudden appearance of their Howdy Doody friends, either.
