RT, a news channel with a refreshing take on the news, is available on Dish network, channel 280. I was happy to find out I can watch RT television and have been finding it very interesting. It is a slick and entertaining presentation, and some of the journalists seem to be outspoken and hold progressive opinions, and they aren't shy abut saying them either. You won't find this independence on the main cable channels, where everything is sanitized and seemingly given approval by the establishment and corporate approved viewpoint. Here is an example of the kind of thing I'm talking about, Larry King (who recently joined RT) is interviewed by a sassy young woman journalist, and they have an interesting conversation about the current state of news and journalism. But before that interview, a nice rundown and commentary on the Snowden saga is given and shows how the corporate media treats whistle blowers like Snowden with their propaganda.
