He'll know that he got away with murder.
He'll spend the rest of his life looking over his shoulder, looking for "threats", because that's how he sees the world. He's going to view every young black male as a potential threat, just as he's been doing for years.
Eventually he'll put himself in a situation where he'll once again pull his gun (which he'll still be allowed to carry) and use it to take another life. He'll claim once again that he was in fear of his life. More than likely the local law enforcement will be sympathetic to his cause, and history will repeat itself.

(12,466 posts)The aftermath of this trial will haunt him, an element of the public will harass him and the paranoia will consume him.

(29,047 posts)Very hard for me to judge how he thinks now, and how he will think in the future.

(12,466 posts)No future...just hauntings from this case. He will not have happiness, he will not have hope. He is stained.

(13,081 posts)That's the question. He's beat up a girlfriend to the point where she got a restraining order, he beat up a woman at a bar, he assaulted a plain clothes officer, and those are just the facts. A former coworker claims George made repeated racist comments and threats of violence against him (because he was Middle Eastern), and several members of his own family allege that he molested his cousin for ten years and was virtually unrepentant when confronted. Not to mention the kid he shot.
This is not a nice guy. This is a violent con-man with an excuse for everything. Once is bad luck. Twice is REALLY bad luck. But all of these things?

(3,724 posts)He is a violent man. He will be paranoid and twitchy, and he's not going to be able to stay out of trouble. The problem for him now is that he's older and 100 pounds heavier and the next guy he messes with may just shoot him first, or kick his ass if it's a fair fight. Zim's future is pretty predictable if he becomes a free man.

(4,795 posts)You basically only get one get out of jail free "purge" kill.
Otherwise your next set of fantasy concoctions do not have the credibility to let a jury feel ok about further murders.
But this will inspire other people who want their shot at it probably

(920 posts)A good chance he'll get off. Past that, it wouldn't surprise me if he would kill again given the chance, but then I wouldn't be surprised if someone kills him if he gets off.

(94 posts)He's living in Costa Rica as Jorge Gonzales in a beachfront condo sipping a pina Colada through an umbrella straw... financed by money from the race peddlers at NBC and the altered audiotape lawsuit. In addition, he can have his attorneys look for who else in the media did similar shenanigans and there are several.

(24,721 posts)Don't count out the prosecution yet. If John Guy handles the summation for the prosecution, there's a good chance that common sense will possibly be brought home for the jurors.
If you get a chance, please watch this video of John Guy rebutting the defense's request for a dismissal:
I've been looking for that. Naturally CNN cut that off right before it started.
