A firetruck, that was rushing to the plane, another died under the wing, outside the plane. Its too horrible to contemplate. Both had been ejected out of the tail section. It numbs the mind thinking about it. Both were Best friends according to their classmates.

It was no surprise that the two girls were sitting together — they had been joined at the hip for four years.

33. So full of life and gone far too soon--so sad. My son has a friend/schoolmate who was on the flight.

He didn't realize she was on the flight until she posted on Facebook that she had escaped with minor injuries. (We live in San Francisco, and he goes to a big high school, so I guess it's not that surprising... but that brought the tragedy even closer to home.)
