Big, fat asshole on a mobility scooter, covered in American flags to show his false patriotism, and owning a big-ass gun, while getting his next meal from the local fast food place.

My Wife & I now live in Rural, Red Murica,
and we now KNOW people like the one in the cartoon.

However, we need to be cautions and smart.
Reducing millions of Americans to a stereotype cartoon,
and then dismissing them,
is not the best strategy for "change".

Like it or not, most of these Americans are in the same economic class as most of the posters
at DU. It is OUR job as educated, intelligent members of the Working Class to understand them,
find a way to communicate with them,
and enlist their help,
NOT reduce them to the cartoon status of "The Enemy".
As long as the 1% can keep us divided, they WIN.

When the Working Class & The Poor realize WE have more in common with each other
than we have in common with the ruling 1% and their mouth pieces in Washington,
THEN we can have "change" too.

Whether you like it or not,
the guy in the cartoon IS your brother in this fight.
The day you realize this, and figure out how to USE this,
50% of the battle has been won.
Find a way!

Our neighbors in Latin America have given us the Blue Print for "change".
All we lack is the will.

VIVA Democracy!
I pray we get some here soon.

to complete the picture: A lit cigarette to go with his oxygen (I can't tell you how many smokers in the deep south continue to light up while on oxygen) and a "Don't believe the liberal media" sticker on his ride. Those bumper stickers are everywhere in the racist south!
