Another thread was talking about Watertown, CT. This is Watertown, MA, just across the river from Cambridge.

Officer (second) transported by EMS, they have ordered officers to power down cell phones, setting perimeter.

So could a radio, but a cell phone can be a nice short range detonator.

People are confusing Waterbury, Ct with Watertown, MA. Waterbury is about 2 hrs or so from Cambridge.

(MIT is in Kendall Sq., Cambridge... Cambridge is about 30 min from Boston by car at this time of night. All public transportation is no longer running @ this time of night.)

The shootings are in Watertown. It's a town about 15 to 20 minutes from Cambridge; kind of between Cambridge & towns a bit west of Cambridge (Arlington, Lexington, North Waltham).

Source: I live in the area. I'm checking again to make certain my door is locked.

It's likely this is connected to the MIT incident.

They're saying that cellphones have been ordered off due to undetonated explosives.

They just said something about a suspect being taken down.

Now they said a second suspect is in custody.

The massive response and concern about possible explosives would be understandable either way.

At least one suspect was told to remove his clothing, then taken into custody.
