It sounds like a plot for a Douglas Adams Pastiche sequel to "Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency" and "Long Dark Tea Time of the Soul."
But the number of things happening in near simultaneity to Patriot Day is causing a coincidental singularity in the minds of everyone. Too many terroristic style events in a row increase the likelihood of a link between some of the events.
Right now, I lean toward the notion that the Ricin events are linked. They may have been perpetrated to coincide with Patriot day celebration that commemorates the battles of Lexington and Concord. Linking to the same day would make it a coincidence with the Boston Marathon terrorist attack.
Of course, if we think of this in context with the notion of a leaderless terrorist organization, then different cells could have ade assaults because Patriot day is important to them as symbolic, and this is their shot heard round the world.
Then, again, there are a lot of crazies out there with a hateon for anything not White, Anglo Saxon, and supremacist.
I absolutely assume, now, that this is home grown right wing extremists or militias, whether linked or not, as these groups tend not to announce to the world what they did. The silence is more like the Anthrax attacks after 9/11 than foreign terrorists who want the world to know they struck at the heart of the "Great Satan."
