a group of people think that is perfectly OK if avoiding one means any infringement on their pleasure. I think if they feel that way they should put their child where their mouth is. They seem perfectly fine to put everyone else's child where there mouth is.

I said both are evil and wrong. Nor did I say or ever even think that we should "let it happen." Not even close. Perhaps you should try reading for meaning. The idea in the OP strikes me as the product of a very sick mind.

your mother gets punched out, your children are mangled in a car accident and your sister is sexually assaulted at college.

I haven't seen much dumber than this but I suppose the day is young.

Let's be blunt here. There is abundant evidence that getting rid of guns which shoot bullets as fast as guns used in these massacres do, greatly reduces the number of such massacres. Both the UK and Australia had one massacre too many and decided to do something about it. Since then, no such massacres. Yet they say, do nothing. Funny how if we spell out what they really want to do people go ape shit. The only difference between my plan and theirs is that theirs makes all children pay while mine would only make theirs.

Killing people's kids as a mechanism to evoke empathy for your politics is not a winning tactic.

Frankly it promotes a position that is really quite perverse.

Based on what you perceive as the sins of a proximate gun owning adult?

You think an extra massacre based on corruption of blood is the fix for the ones we already have?

Way beyond stupid and past sick.

38. That imp[lies (or fucking well SHOULD) some sort of substantive causal relationship...

...between general ownership of guns and those murders. That's a relationship that the pro-control side has spectacularly failed to demonstrate (unsurprising, given the tens of millions of gun owners and the astronomical rarity of "gun massacres&quot . Actually establish this implied culpability and you just might have a point. Until you do, this suggestion (made more as an appeal to emotion than as an actual serious proposal, I hope) is utter nonsense.
