Regarding posting photos of the dead from Sandy Hook:

Instead of showing autopsy photos, what about publishing the autopsy descriptions? I think photos lose their ability to shock and horrify, and to some extent desensitize us, but a verbal description sears the heart.

outside Sandy Hook that tragic day.

In my experience, text is less effective (especially for the type of person who is less inclined to be impacted by this tragedy anyway, and to instead first think of their guns when this happened).
