At some point, Fox News will have to cope with the fact that their pretty-boy millionaire lost. That means, Obama's policies have been vindicated, right? That means, he represents the will of the people, right?
WRONG.
Which talking-points will Fox News and the GOP come up with, to denounce Obama's victory?
How could that muslim european-socialist commie possibly have won in a center-right country?
Was it the notorious voter-registration organization that no longer exists?
Was it a massive voter fraud concerted by George Soros?
How about "some people say, the democrats committed election fraud" and riding that dead horse for the next 4 years?
What about Black Panther thugs?
Or how he played on politics of hatred, division and class-warfare? (Remember: tax-cuts for the rich don't inflate the deficit, only Medicare does)
Or will Fox News proclaim, that Obama would have lost, if only the republicans had supported the Fox News-chosen candidate from the beginning?
How it's not republican policies that lost the election, but Romney and Romney alone?
How about that: It wasn't Romney or republican policies that lost, it was solely the fault of his VP-candidate.
Come to the dark side and think like a Fox News "journalist".

(37,160 posts)We can do what we've always done: pay attention to what the wingnuts are saying to each other, because all of it will show up somewhere, from FOX to forwarded e-mails. The only question if the mainstreamed mushrooms will sprout from the dung in a few weeks or some months after they start gabbing.
And if the past is any guide, we'll be on top of it, suggest ways to counter, draw up talking points to refute and redirect it back on them, etc. And all of that will be completely ignored as the work of a bunch of amateurs, as the "professionals" get completely blindsided by it time after time after time.
Can we hope for change on this, at least?
