Favorite Son of Colorado's Gun Rights Movement Officially Charged

Suspended CEO Franklin Sain formally charged for alleged threats against Rep. Rhonda Fields

DENVER - The suspended CEO accused of harassing a Colorado lawmaker has been formally charged.

Franklin Sain, 42, was charged Monday with a felony charge of attempt to influence a public servant and a misdemeanor charge of harassment-ethnic intimidation.

(snip)

According to the affidavit, police suspect Sain also sent Fields an anonymous letter that refers to the lawmaker with the same obscene, racist phrase repeatedly used in emails and phone messages that Sain admitted sending to the lawmaker. The letter also contains a reference to "30 round magazines" used in Sain's emails.

"I will keep my 30 round magazines. There will be blood! I'm coming for you (expletive)," states the letter, received at Fields' Capitol office on Feb. 21.

The letter names Fields and her daughter and states, "Death to Both."

This is what anyone who argues against Democratic proposals for gun regulation is lining up alongside --- and people need to get that through their heads.

"Which side are you on? Tell me, which side are you on?"

And they're certainly not helping the case against gun control. If anything it's making people want it more.

Heck, some of the gun cultists even tell us that they become less aggressive/intimidating when walking around with their beloved guns and lethal accessories.

I find that hard to believe. I would like to see hate speech or at least race profanity screened by email programs. Regardless of 1st amendment objections.

Makes me glad Canada doesn't have 1st amendment protections for hate speech or 2nd amendment protection of so called gun rights.
