The Super Bowl. Wait for the 3rd Quarter. You will at once feel in awe and insignificant.

It's an ad for the 1%, maybe the 2%... Hell if I know, you can get into debt for ANY DAMNED THING.

It's an ad for a Mercedes Benz.

Theme song: Sympathy for the Devil!

Fuck the ad for "seductive CLA, starting at under $50,000.

And, moreover, fuck the consumeristic drill and kill that is becoming all media.

Resist, resist, resist!

3. I am horrified but not surprised

that such an iconic song has been repurposed to sell a Nazi origen 1% vehicle.

Just to cover myself I like German cars but this is ridiculous.

5. Meanwhile, Downton Abbey fans

are preparing for this week's edition. They are standing and cheering wildly for tonight's episode in Season 3's exciting drama series. Only 35 minutes from the start time. Ladies and gentlemen, this crowd is going wild!

8. You must be young because if I hear even two notes of Sympathy for the Devil

I'm back in the Woodstock years on acid.

I don't like being jerked around like that for a car.

10. I'm old enough that this is the 47,857th time the Stones have sold out by my count.

The commercial they did years ago with Janis Joplin singing Mercedes Benz was awful. The Stones selling out is routine.

16. Pronoun usage is important (sorry!). As written, I thought you meant that the RS did a commercial

with the ghost of Janis, whereas Mercedes-Benz used just the JJ song, no Janis on film, no Stones.

But to others it evokes memories you may not be able or want to enjoy

19. That could be said about almost any song, but it certainly doesn't make them sacred.
