Info about the Applebees skinflint pastor

http://www.heavy.com/regions/2013/02/alois-bell-top-10-facts-you-need-to-know/

Now, it shows the receipt, the picture, and all the hard facts. In case you have somehow not heard this, the cliff notes version: A pastor brought in a huge party at Applebees, and per policy, they charged an 18% minimum for a large party. She rote a nasty "I give God only 10 percent, why do you get 18" Another employees posted it, and got fired.

Now I post this article because it has the facts neatly listed, but suffice it to say this, if Christ is real,he is weeping.

Things such as this are the only reason I wish I could believe in the Second Coming of Christ. I'd love to be a witness to His response to His followers.

That begs a lot of questions. I've asked many of them over the years.

I think it's time for me to sign off and go watch Leverage.

Have a good night RKP5637.

And then he would ask them to explain their actions over the centuries...

People are freaking nuts.

12. Romans crucified him once. His "believers" have kept the poor guy up on that cross for 2,000 years

In an orgy of sadism, they keep crucifying him millions of times over and over, his face contorted in agony.

If he'd been killed in a chariot crash, would they be wearing little wrecked chariots around their necks?

I have a picture in my head now of chariots!

I was raised Christian, they had me until I started asking questions at about 10. "Just take it on faith." Did they have a clue that there was no way for me to understand having faith in anyone, much less someone I couldn't see or talk to, with the childhood I was living? Fuck no.

I was caught up again during the Hal Lindsey, Late Great Planet Earth craze in the seventies, for a bit. Had me almost scared to death.

Now I have faith in myself and some of my fellow humans. And dogs.

But isn't her church essentially 15 people? And isn't giving 10% of your salary to yourself (as "the church&quot essentially some sort of tax scheme? Aren't you in effect making 10% of your annual income a tax write-off?
