Very interesting--Google discloses which sites they blocked in which countries.

There is a page on Google called "transparency report" in which Google reports which sites it blocked or removed in which countries for the reporting period.
Example: Jan to June 2011:

"We received two requests from the Ministry of Information, Communication and Technology in Thailand to remove 225 YouTube videos for allegedly insulting the monarchy in violation of Thailand's lèse-majesté law. We restricted Thai users from accessing 90% of the videos."

Revealing reading..
http://www.google.com/transparencyreport/governmentrequests/

also:
USA:
"The number of content removal requests we received increased by 70% compared to the previous reporting period."

Don't you think Rick Santorum would like to Google his sir name with children present. He has already made that request. Fortunatly for now it can only be a request, not a demand.
