How do we get him to bring this up to Republicans?

The Government Accountability Office said Thursday that it could not complete an audit of the federal government, pointing to serious problems with the Department of Defense.

Along with the Pentagon, the GAO cited the Department of Homeland Security as having problems so significant that it was impossible for investigators to audit it. The DHS got a qualified audit for fiscal year 2012, and is seeking an unqualified audit for 2013.

The report released by the GAO on Friday indicates serious accounting problems at two of the largest government agencies: the Pentagon and the Department of Homeland Security. The Department of Defense has a net cost of $799.1 billion to the federal budget, while the Department of Homeland Security has a net cost of $48.7 billion.

All the Republicans bullshit about caring about the deficit and the debt, and they don't even audit the Pentagon and Homeland Security.

I would very much like to see what those assholes have to say about this.

It is already absurd we don't talk about the vast majority of our tax dollars going for war and Big Government, but now it turns out they don't even have to account for all of our money??!!

Does anyone know how to get this to Kucinich for his next appearance?

Maybe instead of being angry with him, we should support him and hope he speaks the truth on Fox News and calls out their bullshit. (does he have a contract? )

Whenever I have seen him speak on TV in the past, he was very articulate and expressed his points really well, and always stood up for the truth and the progressive side of things.

2. I don't really expect his time on FOX to go well.

They will try to censor him. If he resists, he won't last long. If he doesn't, the message will be watered down and twisted into irrelevancy. Which is probably what FOX wants.

I don't watch tv news or commentary, so I'm not going to know.

3. If the GAO Office can't audit the DoD budget properly.

Perhaps the next budget for the DoD should leave about 5% of the total budget until they are finally properly audited, including all black-bag operations and any top-secret organizations.

That is what would happen to us peons if we used up most of the federal budget and couldn't account for it.

When someone has a huge slush fund they can't account for, that leaves a lot of room for embezzlement.

In America, we don't blindly trust people with large amounts of cash, everyone everywhere has to account for everything to the very last dime to make the government happy.

But when it comes to Big Military and Big Government, they take most of those tax dollar with no accountablity
