|
It was quite disturbing so I asked her what I did. She told me we (white people) had stolen their land. When I was younger and in a night club, a black woman was giving me the evil eye, so I asked her what I had done. She told me that we (white women) were stealing their men. When I was in China . . .
I am not afraid, but we whites might have it coming. |

9. Well, we probably do.
|
As far as who people date, I think that is up to the couple involved. It really isn't anybody's business.
Demanding that people date within their race or ethnic group isn't going to go far to help racism. White people did take everything away from Native Americans. Any time I see a program on the history channel, I think how unforgivable it is. |

bash them for preferring to breed inside theirs. Everyone wants to force their own personal beliefs on everyone else. What difference does it make if whites are the minority? In 10 more years none of this will likely matter anyway with the advance's in technology. Soon we'll be able to pick our childrens sex, eye, hair and skin color. You'll be able to have what ever you want no matter who you breed with as long as you have the money to pay for it.

23. You're correct about the word race, but still, the fact remains people will be able to chose whateve
|
they want, so really it's going to be hard for anyone to argue that this or that is being wiped out when everyone has a choice. For example, people tend to want to express individualism. This is where fads come from. backwards I know, but that's human behavior.
Ten years ago it was the "thing" to get tats. Now almost everyone has them and I know young people who won't be getting them because "everyone" has them. So we see the new trend in being "different" or expressing individualism will be moving towards no tats. The same will happen with children. It will be trendy for awhile to have pale white skin and light blue eyes, then the trend might move to dark skin and blond hair. Race or skin color issues will be a thing of the past. No one will have any idea what "race" your child is. |

Which pretty much equate to the 4 commonly referred to races if you use 4 principle components. Clustering becomes better defined if you use 7 components to separate out some of the smaller populations.
So biologically, there is such a thing as race. |

49. The clusters have minimal overlap and the centroids are quite far apart.
|
The clusters do equate to white, east Asian, black and native American using 4 principle components.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Principal_component_analysis It is not based on single genes, but rather an analysis of patterns of alleles across multiple genes. And there are some highly indicative gene complexes. For example the Neanderthal MHC haplotypes are present only in Eurasians and not in sub-Saharan Africans. |

Last edited Mon Jan 14, 2013, 02:55 PM USA/ET - Edit history (1) Like when people say that whites will lose their majority, how do we know for sure that this will continue? I mean all it is is just a trend. Trends can stop or reverse. It's not something that's written in stone.
Another thing I want to add is that I'm curious about whether the people who do these population studies include both racial AND ethnic make-up in these trends. For example, I heard that Latinos are the fastest-growing part of the population. But isn't it true that a person from any race can be Latino/Hispanic, whether they're black, white, or Asian? |

Something like 96% of the population is white. To me, a real drawback. My son recently married an African-American woman, and I worry they will leave the state because they won't want to raise children here.
I spent some time in Southern California two summers ago, and really enjoyed the ethnic and cultural diversity. That's the melting pot so many give lip service to. I loved it. I couldn't believe how old and white Maine looked on my return. |
