(63,912 posts)the TV. Did Joe go on a rant subsequent to that portion? I noticed they didn't re-run the 6 am segment at 8 am like they usually do, but Mika made some reference to the conversation. I was hoping the Huff Post would feature it.

(26,060 posts)these kinds of OPs - the ones that refer to something we can neither see or hear - I'll try and give you the short version. There was controversy yesterday about a picture in the NY Times showing how male oriented the Obama administration is (although Valerie Jarrett was there, you could only see her leg). Joe tried to say, on the basis of that picture and the fact there are so many men in the President's cabinet that Obama only talks a good game about women and we're all hypocrites for going after Mitt Romney's binder remarks during the debate. Mika and Katty Kay (from the BBC who was also on the panel although remotely), took exception and tried to reason with Joe - Mika mentioning that both Supreme Court picks were women, that the first thing the President did after inauguration was sign the Lily Ledbetter act, etc. Joe went nuts, I mean crazy nuts - wouldn't stop interrupting, screaming and carrying on and finally Mika called his behavior chauvinistic and that's what really set him off. The two of them left the set and when they came back, Mika apologized to Joe for calling him a chauvinist (which she didn't do) and went on about what a great boss he was. Instead of repeating the 6AM hour at 8AM as they normally do, they started it with Mika's apology.
I've already sent two scathing emails to the network about it. Joe was a crazed animal this morning and owes Mika, Katty and all women an apology for his behavior.
I may have missed one or two things here but that's the gist of what happened.

(26,060 posts)and also mentioned that Susan Rice was torpedoed by the pubs. Also Sec of Labor is a woman (who is also leaving). Mika tried to get all this in and Joe was a rabid animal about it.

(63,912 posts)I've seen her do this before. She argues her point vehemently, Joe starts raving and then, next segment, she comes on and apologizes. I'm getting tired of it. Either do it or not do it. Simple as that. Own what you've said.

(26,060 posts)He really needs to issue an out and out on air apology to both Mika and Katty for his behavior today.

(5,842 posts)I remember thinking when Joe was on his rant...Jesus, just shut the "f" up and let someone else speak for a change.
I know he's the bleedin' host but he's still an employee of MSNBC. Why can't the producers turn down his mic when he's interrupting so that at least the guests can get their point across?**
** Same problem with Chris Matthews. If you're going to ask someone a question at least let them complete a full sentence or two before you talk over them.

Deflect attention from what is RELLY important.
Joe is so stoopid I don't even watch anymore. Tired of wasting my time with ignorance.
When it becomes Mornings with Mika, maybe I'll watch.

(42,770 posts)called Joe out when he perpetuated Romney's FLAT OUT LIE that HE was the one who sought out female candidates. This was a blatant lie since it was an advocacy group who came to him.
I actually missed it too...but someone posted the video in another thread. You and I watch all the time and then miss it when something exciting (albeit infuriating) thing happens !! :>

It like they have a short term memory problem that causes them to have no memory of anything they ever said in the past.
