it's funny a month ago, everyone was supportive of our President. This place was enjoyable to read and now the same old creatures of habit are rearing their ugly heads again. While some tolerate it, I will not longer subject myself to their negativity.

I'm glad that he is negotiating for us instead of that horrid Mitt Romney.

We'd be lowering taxes for the wealthy, totally ripping up the safety net, and increasing funds for the military in preparation for the invasion of Iran.

Holy shit... I'm probably gonna have nightmares tonite.

We can complain all we want about POTUS, but think about how we just dodged a bullet in Nov. If Rmoney had won it would've been a disaster. Maybe POTUS is not perfect, but he's trying the best he can IMO. I still fully believe in him.

But I strongly condemn and oppose proposals to change Social Security and Medicare. Ultimately, they will not save money and they may cost lives and destroy families. Horrible idea to change those, the most successful programs in the country.

Remember when Coke tried to change its product?

Some things should not be tampered with.

I'm seeing him strong, decisive, pretty immovable, remembering and claiming his mandate, not precisely taking any crap. Way different from the person who had to learn the hard way not to bend over backwards to those who will not negotiate or help govern.

This impasse will turn out fine.
Because as I am watching the afore mentioned are crumbling into an idea-less heap in plain view, even to each other.

We are on a roll. Keep up the support and the belief.

that made us all worry that our President would not be re-elected.

I'm not minimizing things at all. It would be a temporary bad thing for us to "go over the cliff" - but nobody knows that better than our President. And he is playing his hand well, IMO, to not bow down this time and offer co-operation to those who will not reciprocate. He can take that fly swatter and swat a few of them who will then foul their own nest and stink it up.

Works for me.

because as hard as it's going to be it's going to show Republicans we mean business.

They don't think Obama's up to it, and this time they're wrong.

There has been a lot of dissatisfaction with the President on here lately who don't think he is being liberal enough, but I just remind people, after that first debate, it was not out of the realm of possibilities that we could have been dealing with a President Romney at this time (ugh, I don't like just typing that!).

And I know that a lot of us that share President Obama's beliefs don't want him to compromise, but he is aware that he is governing a country that has 47% of people who voted AGAINST him, and (as much as we might not like it at times), they DO make up this country also and he IS their President as well.

Being drunk by peoe re: Obama. He is a better president than Clinton who is lionized.

My name stems from GW Bush's "choked on a pretzel" incident while president.

He is nevertheless drowning in Pretzel poop now.
One thing I forget in my daily ritual of gratitude: "Thank you, Universe, for not living in the skin of GWB. Or even worse: for not having to be Laura, who is choosing to stay there."

an announcement on a car news radio, "The president gave a speech today....." and I absolutely cringed because I had been so conditioned for so long to hear that rat bastard bush (who had also been my governor for six years)...I'll never forget the sense of relief that washed over me when I heard Obama speaking........and I felt the same way any time I tried to envision Romney as prez.
