If The Congress Won't Act On Gun Control Measures Than Why Not A Referendum...

A national referendum on gun control. Let the American Public decide. This takes the pressure off the politicians and they could say the people have spoken.

Granted - the text of the referendum needs to be well drafted and written - but it seems to me this is a decision that needs to come from the people.

Do you think there could be support for a National Referendum on gun control?

There are several processes to amend the constitution, none of them use a national referendum.

So first you would have to convince congress and the state legislatures to pass an amendment to create a national referendum process.

They should let We The People to decide. Put it up for a vote & get this over with once and for all. I'm already hearing that the news cycle for this Newtown tragedy has past so I guess the pols will blame the media for inaction because they stopped talking about this 24/7.

We'll just have to wait for the next massacre.
