That's exactly what happened here. Boner folded his hand, because his backers won't stake him any further. It's high-stakes poker in Washington, and Obama's a far better player.

Now, the new Congress is seated in January, and it's a new game that's starting.

He may even resign, like Gingrich did when he was humiliated. That's what I'm hoping for now.
