Introducing Discussionist: A new forum by the creators of DU

Do you think the far right is gunning for all schools to be privatized.

So a few multinational corporate online programs will teach the nation and make money had over fist. Where teachers are religated to the role of teacher's aides? And get paid as such? Where their union's are weak to non-existant? Where all the money in education goes to ceos and shareholders, taking it out of the actual education and the Democratic coffers? Where kids are not taught to think critically or about rights. Have I missed anything?

4. Yes, and this would also tie into the tea baggers dream

to indoctrinate children into their political and religious beliefs.

7. It's the best business model

Perpetually guaranteed revenue stream, and guaranteed profit, at taxpayer expense.

11. They are gunning for all schools to be privatized in a specific way

To your true believer in the Right Wing cause, a secular private school is worse than a public school. These guys want all schools to be religious.

This of course should make you wonder what they really have against Sharia because madrassas like they want to set up here are part and parcel of Sharia. The only real difference between Sharia and the theocracy the Christian fundies here want is the symbol on the door of the church.

is pushing for homeschool for everyone.

These people are closer to the ears of "mainstream" republicans than you would think.
