(Weird?) Romney Attends Pacquiao-Marquez Fight-tells him: "Hello Manny. I ran for president. I lost"

Mitt Romney Attends Pacquiao-Marquez Fight

LAS VEGAS December 9, 2012 (AP)

Defeated presidential candidate Mitt Romney was a guest ringside Saturday night at the fourth fight between Manny Pacquiao and Juan Manuel Marquez.

Romney also visited with Pacquiao in his dressing room before the fight, wishing him well in the bout.

"Hello Manny. I ran for president. I lost," Romney told the fighter, according to Pacquiao publicist Fred Sternburg.

Pacquiao is a congressman in the Philippines, and has said previously he might run one day for the president of his country.

2. Yes, weird. Very, very weird.

Such a very, very strange way to introduce himself. I have the feeling we haven't seen the last of Willard's unusual 'coping' mechanism. That photo he posted on Thanksgiving, of him looking like a giant, rumplet muppet, draped over Ann's shoulders, along with the gas station photo seems to be establishing a pattern of some sort of internal melt down.

3. "Hello Manny, I just got dropped off in your dressing room by the barge unto Kolob." - Willard (R)

10. Also weird: "Arum said Romney told him Saturday was among the best nights of his life."

When the guy he was cheering for got KO'd?

Instead, Arum steered the discussion toward Romney, the former Massachusetts governor who visited Pacquiao before the fight and told him: I ran for president. I lost. By late Saturday, Pacquiao had lost too.

Arum said Romney told him Saturday was among the best nights of his life. Given recent events, that was reasonable to believe.
