[font color="navy" face="Verdana"]It kind of looks like it to me, but I can't be sure. Is there a formal skirt for female dress uniforms?

a man who lived a spartan life and died to redeem people? Do people think he will be impressed with this?

Once a year Christians and non-believers alike can be outrageously gaudy. We can decorate with stuff we would never dream of doing any other time of year. Gold and red, silver, lights, red and green... It's fun!
I don't know if others are like me, but inside, I have a gaudy, garish, tasteless side that comes out at Christmas time.

About how He agrees to wipe out our spiritual debt at the birth of Jesus.
About how the light of God's love is present even in the midst of winter or our worst times.
A reminder that we believe that the world is not an uncaring place, despite the way circumstances appear, because God is still there.
About the beauty of working together in faith, love and harmony to achieve things like peace and prosperity for all.

That said, even as a Christian I think the whole shop til you drop is a worse offense on Christmas than "Happy Holidays" which to me is inclusive and quite appropriate to represent "The Prince of Peace" who purposely went out of His way to include the Samaritans and others who the Jews at the time thought were low life such as tax collectors and prostitutes.

For years I've been upset with Christmas music playing in October. Anything to market and push last years stuff out the doors for a better bottom line is the worse offense and it's a rethug tactic.

Jesus did celebrate at special times like weddings, but I think you are right He wouldn't be overly impressed with people who decorate and proclaim their Christianity IF in their heart of hearts or by their actions they betray true Christian principals of tolerance and peaceful community building and cooperation among those who are all very different from one another.

Peace
