Lawrence O'Donnell, ladies and gentlemen

He will be on later on his own show, (remember to watch if you want the best coverage on cable news of today's proceedings), but he was just on Chris Hayes show, and he is just so refreshing.

Made the point that by not allowing the trial to be televised, the system has robbed the American people of seeing just how fair this trial is. It has also made it easier for cult minions like Mike Johnson to smear the proceedings based on nothing, since the average person can't see what's going on.

Looking forward to his show tonight!

that rule. They know this will be the only damn trial before the election.

3. If it were televised, can you imagine what TFG groupies would do in the courtroom?

In a sane, civilized world I would agree with you. But the gaggle of red ties that showed up today was not interested in showing the fairness of the rule of law. Without a doubt they would interrupt the proceedings. They would cheer when the judge upheld one of TFG lawyer's objections, and boo when it went against their Dear Leader. They would treat the whole thing like an intergalactic kegger. It would look like a sea of red hatted crazies. whose sole purpose was to run interference for Trump. Remember, these are the same people who deny the results of the 2020 election, and treat Jan 6th as if it hadn't happened.

The absolute worst result for them would be for the country to see how the judicial system actually works.

They do want to denigrate our institutions, including our justice system. But there should be a way to control disruptions.

capitalized on and didn’t.

Even the red ties have waited for weeks to appear.

His support has dwindled.

There's legislation to allow broadcast in Albany, but there's pressure against it from Defense attorneys.

Imagine Mike Johnson contemplating WWJD. And we all know that Mike Johnson is probably the second greatest Christian ever to walk on planet earth. Now, always looking over his shoulder for The Greatest. Borrowing diapers from his lord and savior.

I amuse myself by seeing him for what he is - a puppet, mouthing out rehearsed words from a movable jaw like a marionette puppet.

I believe this was for the public to see exactly how fair the trial was.
