Chamber of Commerce had a very low budget for Christmas lights. As a result, the decorations on our light posts were a mixed set of leftovers from other cities. It was an eclectic assortment, but the most intriguing one appeared to be an old style C-9 Christmas tree light bulb - with a lit candle inside. I wish I had a photo, but the Chamber ponied up the cash to buy a new set of matching decorations.

(14,087 posts)6. The chamber of commerce nation-wide has had all the money. Governments, not so much.
City Christmas lights are generally a work of the government = belonging to all the people, and as such, socialist.
There is a huge difference in services when corporations have all the money and when governments have all the money.
