Will Trump ever go to jail for contempt of court in the current bribery case?

No, people like Trump are always above the law and don't have to follow the rules.

Yes, eventually the judge will get tired of having his credibility challenged and send him to jail.

No, because of his secret service protection, he'll just be ordered to stay in one place and not leave.

2. NO, but mostly because I don't think the Judge wants to facilitate an appeal

Normally, a judge would not worry much about that.

But, this is obviously a case of national political importance. Handing Trump anything that looks like ammunition for his slingshot is a bad idea.

But I do believe the judge may start doubling the cost of each fine. In the end, with Trumps flouting of the gag order that could become a large enough sum to give even an orange--atan pause.

7. I read and have no knowledge myself, that the judge can order him to jail for contempt after the trial.

4. I think the judge's threat is real. The rest is up to Trump.

It's his decision whether or not to violate the order again.

I don't think he can stop himself, so I voted yes.

6. Counting on it. He'll go to jail, play the victim. I bet he'll behave well enough to prevent going back a second time ..

9. No one is showing up for him now, in spite of appeals to do so.

Maybe they're afraid, or they realize they might be subject to arrest. Or, the reason I think might be the best choice, there's not that much excitement, or enthusiasm around his running again. Other than his core base of maga cultists, there's no longer that much interest in supporting him. They're not that enthusiastic any more.

Trump is already in jail 4 days per week, having to attend court. The judge is waiting for a Mon night violation so he can impose sentence from Tues night thru Thurs morning giving him a couple of overnight stays.

Then again, without his social media his head might explode.
