I hated Kristi Noem before, hate her more now.
Having that said that, I see MAGAts coming out, Laura Loomer of all people trashing Noem for her abhorrent decision to kill her dog. So, there is a bottom with them.
Its good to know they draw a line at killing a dog, and shes earned this and more. But it isnt white supremacy, not misogyny, not theocracy, not homophobia, not wanting to usher in a dictatorship, cozying up with dictators, trying to overthrow the government, taking peoples rights away, literally possibly shooting someone on Fifth Avenue, etc.
Dogs are great, theyre adorable, but shooting one, as evil as it is to do so, shouldnt be the only thing that gets Americans to wash their hands of these scum.

Mitt Romney was damaged by the roof rack story about his dog on a family trip. And now Kristi Noem is being attacked for murdering a puppy. I think I may be onto something.

(115,985 posts)Dogs are easy to love; your dog loves you and doesn't judge you even if you're an awful person. Dogs don't know that you're a homophobic bigot or a fascist or a white supremacist, and they don't care as long as you feed and care for them. So even the worst GOPers can love dogs - except, apparently, for Trump, because dogs require at least some level of kindness and attention, and Trump won't give that to anybody.

(46,777 posts)There is a whole series of John Wick movies (four by the last count) that all started with the murder of a dog. It's a motive that everyone can understand.
