It's Sunday, so time for another useless CNN Poll/Retrumplican felatio

This time, a completely context-free "feeling" poll showing that respondents rate Donnie Dipshits reign of terror more favorably than President Biden's steady, graceful, historic, stewardship of American Democracy.

JFC! You might as well ask; "other than that Mrs. Lincoln, how did you like the play"?

It's a frickin worthless, transparent attempt to normalize the FUCKING abnormal.

We had a universal truth in the Navy. When asked; "what was your favorite duty station"? The answer was always either your last station, or your next one...IT WAS NEVER THE ONE YOU WERE CURRENTLY ASSIGNED.

Ask stupid questions, get stupid answers.

There's no need to provide any details of what Donnie Dipshits hellish leadership was like. No details of the apocalypse America became due to his incompetent handling of EVERYTHING. No questions about his crimes, No! It's just "how do you "feel" after we've spent the past three years amplifying EVERY FUCKING NUTTY REICHWING ATTACK on President Biden.?

"Hey CNN! Other than the torture and living conditions, how are the accommodations in GITMO during Donnie Dipshits 2ND term"?

Better than Joe's??

J...F...C!!!

Thought that Trump's presidency was successful I knew that this poll was bogus. Trump would've won in 2020 if that had been the case. It looks like they sampled 60% Republicans and mostly Trumpers.

Trump leading. It's exactly the same as it was in January. 55% believe that Trump's presidency was successful. That's the number that really makes me doubt the poll. This poll is an outlier. Most recent national polls have President Biden ahead.

I will stipulate that the poll shows 55% of the respondents answered that Donnie Dipshits reign was more successful.

My argument is that it's a "normal" question that pollsters have asked in the past, but it has no business being asked in these most abnormal times.

Maybe you could stipulate a few things too.

- Do you agree that polls can be, and are manipulated to achieve a pre-ordained result?

- Do you agree that it would be unconscionable to ask a "normal" poll question about an abnormal candidate? Take Putin, for example. Do we know what Putin has done? Do we have documented evidence of his crimes, aims, leadership style, truthfullness? Would it be appropriate to ask the poll question; "who would be better for Democracy, Vladimir Putin, or Joe Biden?., or, would that question be too preposterous to even ask?

The argument is not whether or not Putin could gain a majority like 55% depending on who is being polled, the argument is that we know enough about Putin that even asking the question itself is preposterous.

There is nothing about Donnie Dipshits character, racism, fascism, misogyny, white supremacy and hatred that is "alleged". Hell, even the fact that he is a sexual abuser and fraud ARE NOT ALLEGED.

It should make no difference that 45% of the country would sink so low to support him, but it makes a huge difference to justify their support for him by pretending that he is "normal".

Only online and on land lines.
That's one problem.
And in case you hadn't noticed every time Biden starts to inch up or tie with maggot a Cnn poll comes out to lower Biden's numbers. It happens every time.
I don't know about anybody on this forum, but I have not been polled by Any organizatin on a cell phone.

I thought it was a CNN poll. I would ask for a link, but I'm not sure I want to see it, Feeling kind of down this morning. But yeah, I agree with the OP. CNN will milk this for all it's worth.

CNN doesn't do polls themselves. They hire a polling firm to do that for them, similar to hiring Gallup or Marist or whoever.

SSRS has a questionable record of neutrality, going way back.

ETA: You can find the entire polling methodology on this page:

https://www.cnn.com/2024/04/28/politics/cnn-poll-trump-biden-matchup/index.html

It's under the section titled 'The economy,' in a box. Look at the upper right hand corner, and click on the icon there. It will send you a PDF of the entire atrocity.

Crap poll.

Margin of error for registered voters is even worse: MoE of 3.8.

Super-crap poll.

29% Democrats
30% Traitors
40% Independent

Not even a close proximity of the consensus breakdown of party affiliation.

Definitely a poll with an agenda.
