My local grocery store is nearly empty of people..

Closing in about 30 minutes until 6am tomorrow.

Stopped by to pick up necessities for the wife, they were out of Aquafina water - my wife's particular favorite - both stores (which are about a mile apart) were empty of that particular 24 pack water..

a spigot in the center of your kitchen sink which may emit a trickle of potable water, almost for free. Sorry, but couldn't resist such low-hanging fruit

I say water is water, and tap water here in Colorado isn't that bad.

Even Aquafina admits using public water, refined by Hydro7(tm) technology. Whatever that is.

And you have to live with her. If it is reasonable and it makes her happy, just do it.

Aquafina is very good water, probably the best that a person can drink. It is highly pure and when chilled is delicious. I stopped using Aquafina when I found out that my state has some of the purest public water in the country and Aquafina became more difficult to find stocked. I understand why your wife is hooked, some people just latch onto the taste that Aquafina has, I was one such person.

They also own Frito-Lay and a share of Yum Yum brands which is Taco Bell, Pizza Hut, KFC.

Try Walmart at 8pm tonight. They should have some of that water. It will be a mad house. But, if you love your wife, you will do it for her. Just pack a gun, those wal-mart people are nuts.

associated with Yum Yum Brands.

Do not mean to nitpick, but I just had to do an accounting class project on Pepsi.

They do have Frito-Lay.

and I stand for truth, justice, the American way, and the right to have an Aquafina when you damn well please.

Went to my local Vons supermarket in their last hour (they closed at 7pm) and picked up some sale items before the sale expired.

My store also was nearly empty, and I was in and out even sooner than I expected.

But the Black Friday madness is about gifts, not food, and the people who allowed me to have my supermarket practically to myself were elsewhere.

In the morning, I'll be joining Wal-Mart strikers in a protest at one store in L.A. I'll fill a bottle or two with tapwater before I head out...
