I am saying this tonge in cheek and really do not propose it

But isn't the twinkie/wonderbread loss to the USA as big as the Auto industry?

Come on Obama, save our Twinkies!

1. LOL! I think you may be right...

Hostess must employ a lot of people? The bread has to be made every day!

3. Yes, the bread must be made every day! We can't have stale bread!

Sorta like time to make the donuts!

I don't think we can outsource these jobs to China either!

If they did, we'll never have fresh bread again!

2. There is nothing hostess makes worth saving other than the Suzy-Q

I don't want to hear any more Twinkie defense.

5. For me wonder bread must be saved.

It's an american staple.

Plus it made a great costume!

6. Yes, it's an icon, I've seen its packaging in 4-5 diabetic info presentations

that talk about limiting high glycemic value foods

9. wonder why? no pun, meant there :)

i hope you aren't saying that I am responsible for diabetes, for liking my wonder bread.

People are free to eat what they would like. I don't get into telling others what they should do with their bodies.

12. Diabetes is caused by a lot of things.

I agree some food is bad for some people. I believe genetics also has a lot to do with diabetes.

I'll continue on eating my wonder bread for now.

Peace.

13. Type 2 diabetes isn't caused by diet. High blood sugar...the diacritical symptom

is raised by foods which rapidly are broken down into sugar.

I never intended to suggest that, and I'm sorry if what I wrote is taken that way.

14. It's sad.

Just yesterday my husband (a first rate ice cream connoisseur) discovered that Donettes crumbled in chocolate ice cream makes the BEST ice cream combination ever. Better than any blend of Ben and Jerry's ever.

Cruel, cruel fate that his discovery came so late.
